Vintage Grandma Cakes

I ask my mom to make this delicious cake every birthday. It has cinnamon and sweet carrots. With chopped walnuts, the buttery icing is delicious. I never get enough of this cream cheese-frosted carrot cake—it's better than all the others!

A classic honey cake recipe was developed for this dish. I wanted to highlight our local honey and summer berries. With the blueberries in the top corner and the raspberries in stripes, this makes a great Fourth of July cake. Use less blueberries and more raspberries.
